Someone that is important to me is Kid Cudi (Scott mescudi). He is a singer and songwriter; he writes his own songs and his songs are about how to make your life simple and not hard. He is a popular singer of this present day. I listen to him almost every day; he makes my life simpler and he helps me not worry about the hard stuff. He tries to tell people to just not be upset about the stuff that makes you hurt or depressed. He changes the way you think. After I listened to him the first time he became a big person in my life even though I don’t know him. I know what he has been through so much and that’s how I can connect to him.
Kid Cudi influenced me because he talks about how God helped him through life and the struggles that he had to face. He sings about don’t worry about what you have; be happy with what you got in life. Also he wrote to be yourself and not be someone you don’t want to be; just being who you are in life. Every time I feel down I just listen to his songs and listen to the lyrics and the lyrics help with the problems that I had. Those are most of the important things that made this person a big inspiration in my life. I respect this person on what he does and what he writes. His talented and he is a very important person in my life. I don’t know what I would do without his music in my life.

Lance is my cheer coach who I really look up to. I have known him since I was 5th grade. Ever since then he has had a huge impact on my life. Lance helps me to try my hardest and also to have fun while doing it. The main reason I look up to him is because he’s proud of who he is and he doesn’t let anyone affect him.
One thing that I really like is that no matter how stressed out he is or might be, he tries not to take it out on me or my team. Every time I’m around him I have a great time, mostly because of how he jokes around with us or maybe even because of his great advice. I can talk to him about anything without worrying about being judged, and I love that. I see him five out of seven days of the week because he’s also my boss, but I never get tired of visiting with him or going to the cheer gym.
The best part about having him in my life is having someone that looks out for me and having someone that actually gets me. When we are together with our team we have a blast; all of us take silly pictures and just love to joke around. No matter what the situation is Lance always tries to look at the good side in everything, no matter if our team ends up in last place he still congratulates us and tells us the highlights to our routine.
One reason I really look up to him is because last school year he could tell I was having a tough time, so he sat me down and gave me some very helpful advice. Even though he had already helped me with my problem, the next day he invited me and my other friend out to eat to talk about things. It was the best. I’ve never had someone go out of their way like that just to help me. Lance is the best coach someone could ask for!

The person that has been influential to me in my life is my grandpa, Bud Carel. He fought in World War II and is still alive today. He is one of the nicest people that I’ve met before, and I love it when he tells us stories. Sometimes he would show, and even give to me, things that he had or received during the time period of WWII. Everyday after school, I try to take my sisters there after picking them up at their school and let them be with grandpa and grandma for a while.
When we take my grandparents out to eat after mass, on the days we take them, talking to grandpa is always interesting and seeing how funny he can be when talking to other people is great. This is also why he is influential to me because of how he is social to everyone and always has something nice to say to people when he talks to them. One thing that I don’t get is that he is just as social to people he doesn’t know as he is to people he does know. Maybe that is why everyone seems to like him. I think the reason why everyone else seems to enjoy talking to him is also the same reason why I like to listen to him at his house, his stories that he tells, not just being nice to them.

A person that has been very influential to me in my life is my grandpa. He fought for our country in the Vietnam War, was a very hard worker, and he was a very intelligent man who loved to share his knowledge for others benefit.
My grandfather was a firm believer that every U.S. male citizen should serve at least two years in the military and help in the efforts to defend our countries freedom. He told me many things the military taught him such as; loyalty, honesty, respect, and obedience. The one main thing I got out of him telling me his thoughts on the military is that “freedom isn’t free and people do fight for it every day.”
Another huge thing I admired about my grandpa was his work ethic, which is what I try to hold up to every day of my life. My grandpa was an over the road truck driver when he got out of the military at age 22 till he was age 67 when he died, due to emphysema. People think truck driving is and easy job, but ask any trucker and they will tell you how hard it is and what kind of passion and work ethic it takes. One reason why it’s so hard is because you are always gone away from your family and only get to see them two or three times a year, which means you’re going to have a few Christmas’s and Thanksgivings alone. One big thing my grandpa always told me about work was that when you start something, finish it and don’t give up.
My grandpa was also a man full of words of wisdom and advice that he retained from many people in his life, and he liked to share it with me. One thing he always said was that if you question something on if it is right or wrong , it is probably wrong so just don’t do it. Another great piece of advice he told me one time was that blood never runs, meaning never give up on family.
All in all, my grandpa is probably the biggest influential person in my life. I cherish every moment I got to spend with min even though they were few and far between. We had a very good relationship.

Someone who is very inspiring to me is my grandpa. He had done so much with his life throughout his many years. He has made so much out of so little. He was an artist, musician, and veteran. He was my best friend. In my opinion he was the best grandpa ever. I have so many memories of us together.
I can remember being little and always saying, “I’m going to be like Papa!” He was such an inspiring man. He was the reason why I learned to play violin, viola, cello, and standing bass. He also taught me how to paint landscapes when I was 11. He was the one who inspired me to start painting.
For my 12th birthday he bought me my first set of oil paints and brushes. I remember when I had gone to my grandma and grandpa’s house to paint during a weekend, and I got paint all over the basement floor. My Papa flipped out over it. Afterward he cooked me a delicious lunch.
He was also a great cook! He entered into a Chili Cook-off every year. He made the best chili ever. He would win every year, except one year he lost. He decided to change up his recipe that year. It was about 10 times spicier than usual. I almost choked on it because it was so hot.
My Papa took me and Zach (my brother) on our 1st fishing trip. I can remember getting so mad at my brother because he was the one catching all the fish. I used to blame my Papa for it because I thought he was putting something special on my brother’s hook. Those were some great memories between us.
I really miss my Papa though; I told him everything, from secrets about my closest friends to things about my mom. He was the one I would go to if I ever needed anything, because I knew he would never say no to me. He would call me Shuggie and I called him Papa. He is my best friend, no matter what--I love him and miss him so much!!

The person who has influenced my life is my grandpa. He has influenced my life because every time I need something he has always been there for me. I am going to start off from when I was a child until till now.
First when I was seven years old, he taught me how to drive a tractor. Every time we would put up hay I would always be the one driving because I couldn’t pick up the bales. Then when I was ten years old he showed me how to rake hay. When I first started out doing it, it wasn’t the easiest but over time I learned how. Then when I was fifteen, we decided to restore a tractor from start to finish and even the engine. I have also learned different parts of tractors and vehicles.
Next when I was sixteen, I started to learn how to weld. When I first started out I was just starting and stopping then I started running a bead. After that I was welding overhead and uphill. I have made several gates and even some deer stands for hunting. I am currently in a welding class at nickels to become better and possibly start a career out of it.
Finally he has told me a lot about God and what we believe and why we believe it. I attend church every Sunday. Most of the time we sit with them at mass.

My Dad has been an influential figure in my life because he is always there for me, and I can go to him for anything. Since I was little I have wanted to be like him and everyone says that I’m just like he was. I wasn’t happy about it at the time but now I know that making me pay for my truck, insurance, and gas has really helped me be more independent. He has taught me everything I know about working on vehicles.
Dad would do anything for me and hasn’t let me down yet. Even when I break things on my truck, he gets mad but it’s fun when we get to fix it together. He always says when were done that if I break it again that I know how to fix now! Dad and I always do stuff together, and he will always be my best friend through good or bad times.
My dad is special to me because he is always trying to make me and my brothers happy and helps us get along. I didn’t realize it, but I was gone most of the summer and didn’t make it to the farm much and dad was a little sad about that. I really try not to let him down about anything, but I did quite a bit over the summer.

Tonya is my mother and friend. She has always has been there for me when I needed her. She is a hard worker because she has worked at Small Wonder daycare for 16 years. Since I was one, she has been with me. She started as the cook and ended up becoming the assistant director and four years ago the owner asked her to buy the daycare, so we did and have owned it ever since. My mom has always put others before herself even if it’s her employees or her own family; she will help you before she take care of herself.
My mom grew up raising her brother and sister for her mom, so she learned how to clean, cook and bathe her siblings at a young age while my grandmother was working as a single mom. Having to become a sister and another parent was hard for her because she wanted to be a kid. At 19 my mom gave birth to my brother Jordan; he is my half brother and I have another brother younger than me. She is such a great mother to us, and I wound never trade her for anything or anyone. She will always be my mommy even when I have my own children.

Someone who has impacted my life would be my cousin. My cousin is the one who has helped
me make it through some tough times in my life. The main impact that he made on me was getting me
back to playing football. He told me how good I was and that they were in need of my participation in
football. I love the sport and I can truly say that my family, most of all, my cousin got me back to
playing football again. Football is my life and hopefully I get to play with the big boys in a
few years.
The main thing that got me really thinking and wanting to go back out to football was
because of my cousin. My family has helped me tons through these types of situations.
I’ll tell you right now, family is the biggest part of my life, and I am glad to say that they brought me back
to the one thing that I am best at.
I am really glad that my cousin did what he did and got me out there again because my whole
family wants me to play and be a big star at football. They say I have really good talent and if I were to
not play any more they would not ever let it go until I die. That is why I chose my cousin to be the one
that has a major impact in my life because I am really good at football.
I just want to thank my cousin for helping me through this tough time in deciding whether or
not to play football, and he helped my through it very well.

My Dad has had a large impact on life. He has been my Role Model ever since I was a little kid. I have looked up to him and always wanted to be just like him. I was about two years old when my parents divorced. I lived with my Mom until I was about four years old, then my Dad took full custody. I have lived with him ever since.
He is a hard worker and is gone all week in Kansas City working to support our family; I appreciate him for doing this. He always seemed to be there for me when I needed him. He taught me how to play sports and always showed up at my games to support me. I am happy that he is able to make enough money to send me to this High School.
He is a great Dad. When I have kids I want to raise them just like my Dad did with us. I had a great childhood and hope my children have the same in the future. Right when I heard about the project, I immediately thought about my Dad and that’s why I chose him.
